Tierney Addition
The addition to the Tierney home was like building an entire house onto an existing home. With such a large family more space was needed and we were honored to be the ones to build it for them. The scope of this project was to tear down the existing 1.5 stall garage and build a brand new 2+-stall garage with a huge second floor family/game room & private office for the entire family to enjoy. Also included in the project was the updating and expansion of the existing kitchen.
Mock Roof
Other than just wear and tear this roof is our basic “strip and cover” job. With this particular home there was no water penetration or damage that would caused some type of leaking. The yearly maintenance on this house clearly was done year after year and this asphalt-shingling job lasted 27 years. Regular yearly maintenance is so important on your entire house especially homes that are in the northeast like this one. Winters are harsh and can do great damage if you don’t keep a close eye on your home. From high winds to ice dams that can cause water backup preserving your investment is a smart thing to do.
Kalil Addition
This particular project was a Master Bedroom addition by adding a second floor to an already existing home. The existing very small master bedroom was going to be turned into His & Hers walk in closets and the new addition to be a full master bedroom. Once the existing roof was removed we quickly framed in the new structure to get everything weather tight. This particular job went quick and without any setbacks.
Ferrari Roof
Due to an aging roof this home started to experience water leaks into the home at multiple points. After careful inspection it was quickly discovered that not only was the asphalt shingles aged but they were improperly installed. Aside from the shingles being installed improperly it was also discovered that the underlying roof sheathing was causing the shingles to separate in a stair fashion. (see pictures) This separating was a definite concern because it pointed to a structural issue in the actual framing of the house.
